So worried for what’s to come in 9 hours, but for now I’ll be grateful for the good weekend :)
Met B at Two Chefs after work on Friday for pretty amazing zi char - butter pork ribs, seafood beancurd and the best sambal kangkong I’ve ever had. Back to my place till Saturday, where Dad brought us and grandma to Raffles Town Club for high tea. Loved the Thai theme that day + DIY kueh pie tee and Katong laksa stations! Our last meal there since he cancelled his membership the very same day.
Went to find B’s parents at City hall afterwards where they were shopping. The Great singapore sale has finally started!!!!!!!!!!!!! Snapped up a pair of Aldo flats for 20% less. So comfortable, can walk around in them all day as compared to the thin-soled, uncushioned Topshop flats I’ve been wearing for ages.
And then on Sunday B and I went to Tampines, where we discovered the gastronomic wonder of HOT STAR LARGE FRIED CHICKEN. Cheesy name aside, this 30cm slab of chicken covered in crispy breadcrumbs was tender, piping hot and really moreish. Forgot to snap a photo of it because we were too busy fighting with each other for the last bite!! The cutest part of the afternoon was when we got home, and midway through our conversation B said “I just want to make you happy all the time, as happy as when your face lit up this afternoon when we were sharing fried chicken”
Hahahahahahahahaha :’)
Met Bel, Aaron and Jon for ramen @ Nantsuttei last night :) it’s now up there in my list of to-go ramens!!!! Along with Ippudo, Baikohken, Ramen Santouka and Gantetsu butter miso ramen from Ramen Champion.
Went to Loof after Bel got her second pair of ear piercings (hehe welcome to the club! I just got mine done last week) and the boys tried some 3d racing car console game thing. Loved my mocktail and the atmosphere there, can’t believe it’s just right below my workplace. I can actually see the patio from the pantry :>
Also, finally done with last week’s internship assignment and moved on to the next. Kinda sad that I’m in the sales and marketing department, it’s really intense and fascinating but my colleagues aren’t the ‘let’s have a meal together’ type. In fact they’re usually either at meetings (most of which I tag along) or not at their desks. So I find myself eating with the support staff, who’re a bunch of really nice, motherly office ladies. Can’t find fault with that :) but the new intern from SMU who just came in today got a welcome lunch with his accounts department!!!!!! *jealous
