this is actually true
This week has been packed full with meetups with people i love :’)
Filipino food at lucky plaza with Chao, a short lunch date with B at professor brawn’s cafe, din tai fung and koh grill & sushi with Cat (we b pigs), and dinner at cedele with Na today
Lots of laughter and comfortable conversation about anything and everything. I don’t warm up to people easily or keep in touch with them, but these are some of my favorite people through JC and university thus far. And most of all, I’ve spent so much time w the sister just catching up over long conversations at home and daily office lunch breaks, and buying her clothes and cedele carrot cake. Stuff i always wanted to do, but never got to for the past three years. Love you bb <3
Work’s been so mundane, i’m simply calling up companies day after day to verify whether specific procurement officers/ engineers are still working there. But there’re always little things that make my day, like a steaming mug of mocha from the nespresso machine on the 4th floor and the occasional hilarious mistake! Why do asians have such names….. i accidentally pronounced lim chun khee as lim chunky, to which the receptionist coldly corrected me “i believe it’s CHUN [significant pause] KHEE” and today while munching on my char siew sou i blustered “my country” instead of “my company” and almost spewed everything in my mouth out
Been pretty productive at home and out though - meet ups aside, I’ve finally sorted out my travel insurance and housing application for Stockholm. Reminder to self: have to apply for visa by the end of the week. Also settled itinerary, flights and hotel bookings for Bali w B!!!! (since the boy is almost useless when it comes to holiday planning) 2 days in Kuta, then Perama shuttle bus ride up to Ubud for another 2 days i can’t waaaait.
Bali, Thailand and Europe - the rest of this year’s gonna be great i just know it :*
